Product Review : Internet Business Promoter (IBP)

Internet Business Promoter is one of the "big two" search engine optimization software packages. Of the two, I find it the easier to use, and more than adequate for my purposes. That said, I'm not a search engine professional, so perhaps opinions differ. Then again, if you are a search engine professional, why are you reading my review instead of just buying and using these programs?

IBP produces a very nice, very informative, and highly readable report that gives you all sorts of tips and tricks about how to get your web pages better search engine rankings. The heart of all this is an in-depth analysis of the top-ranking pages for whatever key word or phrase you specify. It also gives you an invaluable very detailed "keyword density analysis" of your page, also comparing it to the competitor pages that rank highly for the key word in question.

In addition, you can check your rankings (or, for that matter, those of any web page) on the major search engines for selected key words.

Search engine submission is a snap with IBP. In addition to the major search engines, IBP provides lists of directories and special interest sites you can submit to, thus improving your link popularity and reputation, and further enhancing your search engine ranking strategy. IBP claims this is unique to their software, and I, personally, found it an invaluable feature.

Internet Business Promoter has a straight-forward, easy to use and very intuitive interface, which I prefer to that of its competitor. Updates are available on a regular basis, and the associated newsletter is informative and helpful.
